PARTNER, MARKETING

Matthew Goldberg

With over ten years living full-time in Costa Rica, Matt utilizes his decades of consumer and B2B marketing experience to help Integer both gauge opportunities and execute winning marketing plans. Matt guides Integer’s properties in brand strategy, market intelligence, communications, design and community building.

Having worked as an executive at some of the most storied firms on Madison Avenue, Matt has been honored to help lead agency marketing efforts across a broad spectrum of categories and sizes. He has driven sales for large Fortune 50 companies (Lowe’s Home Improvement, Comcast, Proctor & Gamble, and Microsoft, to name only a few). Additionally, he has helped build valuable brands for small to mid- size niche companies (Virgin Mobile, Burton Snowboards, Roxy Apparel).

Matt’s strategic specialties include extracting actionable insights from market data, an expertise in all forms of media from mass advertising to promotion to social media, and driving sales with direct marketing. Matt holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and has guest-lectured at Parsons School for Design.

When he is not at his computer, there’s a good chance that Matt is out hiking the Guanacaste mountain trails with his wife and their dog, Rosie or under an umbrella watching his teenagers surf.

Partner, Development

Curtis Peart

With 25 years in residential development, Curtis is responsible for selecting and then guiding the team to execute on the vision for all Integer projects. Having developed several communities and built hundreds of homes in the Southeastern United States, Curtis is an award-winning builder. With over 10 Obie awards for Best Home in Atlanta Metro area, his work has also been recognized with such titles as the HGTV Green Home of the Year.

Since 2001, every U.S. home he has built has been Certified EarthCraft, he has built 2 Leed Gold Certified homes, and in 2012 he was selected as the builder of the HGTV’s 2012 Green Home for their annual Green Home giveaway. Curtis has proven that success comes from creating a well-researched product that meets a market need, using rigorous financial modeling, ongoing monitoring, and quality control. Curtis holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from top ranked University of Florida, M.E. Rinker School.

An avid mountain biker, fisherman, and self-described “boat guy”, Curtis moved permanently with his wife and children to Costa Rica over a decade ago.

Partner, Chief Financial Officer

Manfred Lachner

Manfred's expertise spans over 17 years in the corporate financial world of Costa Rica. His leadership as the finance director of Grupo Nación led to a successful debt restructuring through debt emission in SUGEVAL, raising over $50 million. This financial transformation enabled Grupo Nación to undertake a crucial organizational overhaul within the media industry. 

Driven by his passion for creating innovative financial solutions, Manfred pioneered the development of the first green energy escrow with BAC San José to support projects for Avolta, Costa Rica's rapidly expanding solar energy company. The subsequent doubling of solar energy funds for Avolta within a year serves as a testament to Manfred’s visionary leadership and lasting impact in the financial realm.

Manfred holds a Bachelor's Degree in Management from Krannert School of Business at Purdue University and an MBA from IE Business School in Madrid.

PARTNER, CONSTRUCTION

Enrique Barrientos

As Project Director, Enrique leads Integer’s extensive Construction and Planning division. With over 25 years of experience in the construction and management industry, Enrique's journey in architecture began with his studies at the Universidad Autónoma de Mexico. His dedication and passion for the field led him to obtain a degree in Architecture from the prestigious Universidad Veritas in San Jose, Costa Rica.

In addition to his architectural background, Enrique possesses a strong foundation in MBA-level finance, which further enhances his ability to manage and oversee complex projects. His comprehensive understanding of financial aspects allows him to conduct thorough feasibility studies for real estate projects, ensuring their viability and success.

A certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Enrique has been involved in numerous residential and commercial real estate developments in San Jose. Notably, he had the privilege of working for three years as a Project Manager for Gensler, the world's largest architecture firm, where he contributed to projects in Costa Rica, Honduras, and the United States. This experience provided him with invaluable exposure to diverse management practices and further honed his skills.

In 2021, Enrique relocated to Guanacaste from San Jose with his wife and two children (9 and 12) and loves his commutes to Tamarindo by motorcycle. On the weekends you’ll find him exploring the area beaches with his family and riding his mountain bike.
